YOGA at Broad River

Explore the wonderful world of yoga surrounded by the beauty of Broad River.  Bring your own mat, meet at the large picnic shelter in front of the Ranger Station.   See you at the river!

Celebrate National Trail Day by spending a some time on the trails. Wear weather appropriate clothing and closed toe shoes. If you have work clothes bring them but we will have some available. Work days include litter pick up, invasive plant removal, pruning back vines and limbs encroaching on trails among many other projects. This is a great opportunity for scouts, church groups, civic groups and those interested in taking care of our green spaces.

5k - 10 Mile Trail Race

Well behaved dogs on a leash are welcome 🙂
 
NO DAY OF REGISTRATION – Packet pickup will be last chance to register
10 MILE and 5k STARTS 8:00 A.M.
Chip start so you can start your race once you have your chipped bib.
$25 advance registration
$30 day Packet Pick-up (T-shirt not guaranteed).

As usual, both races will begin at the Ranger Station, then down to the River Trail passing by the playground…….
10 mile- The 10 mile heads west along the River Trail, right on Birch Trail, left on Jolly Mtn Trail, back onto the River Trail, right on Wild Turkey Trail, left on Flint Hill, right on College Farm, cross the creek and up to Cul-de-sac, follow the gravel road back to the gate, left on the Ellis Farm, right on Sandy Run Trail, back to the gravel road, right on College Farm, cross the creek, cross the power line, right on Flint Hill, follow the River Trail back, and finish at the Ranger Station.
5K – The 5k will be running 1.5 miles upstream turning around and running 1.5 miles back along the River Trail. Participants will start as soon as chips are received starting at 9:00 a.m.
Packet Pick-Up October 7, 2022— Friday 3-7pm at the Ranger Station, 126 Broad River Road, Boiling Springs, NC
The Broad River Greenway is a 1500 acre preserve owned by Cleveland County and managed by a non-profit Board. The course follows a natural surface trail along the Broad River.
