The Broad River Greenway has extensive trails open to horseback riders. A PDF map of the trails is available at the Ranger Station or you can print one BRG Trail Map merged 2 page.
BRG hosts approximately 110,000 visitors per year with the majority coming between May and October. For your convienence the Greenway created an “Equestrian Parking” area on College Farm Road. Look for the brown signs as seen above on Highway 150 directing you to the horse access. Come past our gate and continue all the way to the large circular turn around. The idea is to go all the way through the turn around and proceed like you are exiting the way you came in. Park along the side of the road keeping the travel lane clear for incoming traffic.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT PARK IN THE TURN AROUND AREA. This makes is nearly impossible for anyone else to get past you making a frustrating day for all involved.
Coming in the road should look like this…
As you can see from the pictures, there are usually quite a few horse folks coming and going during the day. If you questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Ranger Jolly at 704-434-0040. The Greenway hopes this helps you locate our equestrian parking area and that is makes your riding experience more pleasant by not having to deal with large numbers of cars and people to get to the trails.
